报告题目:Application of AI in Operation and Control of Power System


报告摘要:This talk will firstly introduce some recent development regarding the application of deep learning techniques (as one of the most popular AI technology) in the proactive and predictive maintenance of power grid equipment to contribute to the reliable operation of power systems. Then the talk will move on to the situational awareness assessment as an advanced concept of security analysis of power systems, which is enabled also by the deep learning techniques as well as the phasor measurement units (PMUs) deployment. In addition, some novel intelligent techniques for the secure regulation and control of low-voltage networks such as active distribution networks (ADNs) and Micro-grids (MGs) will also be covered.


报告人简介:Dr. Siqi Bu received the Ph.D. degree from the Queen's University of Belfast, U.K. in 2012. Then he was with National Grid UK as anexperienced UK National Transmission System Planner and Operator. He is an Associate Professor with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University,Kowloon, Hong Kong. He is a Guest Editor of IET Renewable PowerGeneration, Energies, and IET Generation Transmission & Distribution.His research interests include power system stability analysis and operation control, including wind/solar power generation, PEV, HVDC, FACTS,ESSand VSG.
